ETCHINGS, LIMITED EDITION PRINTS, OILS AND WATERCOLOURS
Dorothy was born in Liverpool, England and has spent the last 30 years perfecting her unique style for etchings, limited edition prints, oils and watercolours.
She has had many successful exhibitions which have attracted a considerable number of private collectors literally from all over the world.
Her work ranges from botanical studies, for which she has won three medals from the Royal Horticultural Society for watercolours depicting the months of the year, through to seascapes, animal portraits rural scenes, free flower watercolours, inks, pastels and oils. She has also produced greeting cards, illustrated books and undertaken a considerable amount of design work.
A further significant diversification occurred when Dorothy began etching, which she found to be an exciting new medium for her artistic talents. Membership of the Oxford Printmakers Co-operative, allied to the Ruskin College had a beneficial influence on her early etching and laid the foundation for her increasing development and use of this art form.
Her studio and workshop in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England is in idyllic countryside and provides the inspiration for both her flower and rural scenes.
She now has hundreds of etchings and lithoprints on many diverse subjects, all in limited edition form.
Dorothy now has an outlet in the Apple Market in Covent Garden, London on Tuesday Stall 31, Wednesday stall 26, Saturday stall 33 and Sunday stall 10, throughout the year where you can find a selection of her work which includes a large selection of London prints, cat/ flower etchings.
